Many businesses are recognizing the growing popularity of homeschooling and have starting offering classes specifically for homeschooled kids. This is a list of the different classes I have come across! I will try and keep this list updated as I find more available!
Wicked Workshop -We offer a maker-based program that introduces kids to decision making strategies, complex problem solving and critical thinking opportunities that are recognized as vital 21st century skills necessary to succeed in work, life and citizenship. We do this through a straightforward hands-on curriculum that incrementally introduces a myriad of materials and methods of construction, environmental and climate considerations, and a host of worldwide culture
Art
The Austin Artery - At The Austin Artery, your student will unleash their creativity as well as develop technical skills that will enable them to bring their creative visions to life. Homeschool classes are no more than 9 students per class. This allows for each student to receive personalized attention and instruction. This also allows each student to be supported as they move through the artistic process at their own unique pace. We explore a variety of different media. We use high quality art supplies that are non-toxic and environmentally friendly. We are open to working with parents to enhance other subject areas such as science, math and writing. Please feel free to let us know what you are working on at home. We offer discounts for siblings.
The Art Academy - At Art+Academy, we are aware of the need for art classes in the mornings for Homeschooled kids. The schedules are listed in the appropriate age group tab. In Art Plus Academy, we believe drawing and painting are two important skills which support the creative and innovative thought process.
Sacred Arts Studio Austin - At Sacred Arts Studio homeschooling is near and dear to our hearts. We had a very positive experience homeschooling our own child and would love the opportunity to teach your child all we know about art.
The Art Garage - All classes are taught by a certified art teacher and will include exploring and studying art processes, techniques, & art history.
Aviation
IFR Flight Training School - The development of aviation skills in a young person's life can prepare them to use aviation as a primary vocation. Acquiring secondary aviation skills will serve to support many other primary occupations. Flying is also fun and has a unique ability of capturing a young person's interest and enhancing their perspective.
Building / LEGOS
Bricks 4 Kidz - In our one-hour classes, students work with a partner to complete a new Bricks 4 Kidz® model each week. We bring motors, remote controls and battery packs, along with LEGO® brick kits and instruction guides on tablet computers. Students also enjoy creative building and exploration time in each class with our amazing assortment of LEGO® bricks.
Cheer-Leading
Wilco Football - The Falcons are a Christian sports organization serving home school families in the Austin area. We offer tackle football and cheer leading for ages 11-18. [We also offer tackle football to charter and private school students whose school does not offer tackle football. We serve Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, Georgetown and other communities in the Austin area.
Chess
Austin Area Homeschoolers Chess Club - The cost of chess club is $15 per player/year with a maximum of $45/family. The money helps maintain our equipment, etc. But if you are new and checking to see if this is a fit for your child, the first couple visits are free
Coding
Code Ninjas - We are a code programming organization, we teach children ages 7-14 to program their own games while having fun! Come in and learn about our flexible drop-in learning hours as well as homeschooling hours and special pricing. Children will learn using scratch then work their way up to learn Javascipt using our game development platform. Children level up through "belts" to become black belt coding ninjas! Kids have fun and parents see results!
Dance
Irish Dance - Here at Inishfree we are so confident that you will love our class atmosphere and work ethic that we never ask you to sign up to a certain time period. Our classes run in two semesters. August through December and January through July.
Fencing
Austin Fencer's Club - We offer beginning, intermediate, and advancedfencing classes for homeschoolers at our central Austin location. Fencing is a fun and safe sport that develops fitness, agility, coordination, quick thinking, and mental discipline. AFC's homeschool classes train both body and mind, using games and drills to teach fencing basics. Fencers also learn to referee, enhancing self-confidence and good sportsmanship.
Football

Gymnastics
Platinum Gymnastics - This class is for boys and girls ages 6 and up who are homeschooled. It is designed to take the place of a physical education class and promote fitness to your child. Students will learn gymnastics skill, engage in physical fitness activities like running, climbing rope, and chin-ups, and play games that improve hand/eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Capital Gymnastics - This is a fun program designed to introduce home schooled students to a variety of physical fitness activities and to get to know one another. Parents get a few hours to themselves ... have a lunch date, meet other homeschool parents, do some school planning, everyone benefits!
BAM Academy - BAM Academy™ is the movement and fitness facility you’ve always wanted but you didn’t know it, yet. We specialize in FUN based fitness through Parkour, Ballistic Movements and Gymnastics programs. With experienced coaches in each discipline, students can expect to experience movement in a fun, safe facility dedicated to these disciplines. There is no other facility like this in Texas.
Martial Arts
Brazillian Top Team - Jiu-Jitsu is a great sport for kids, it's an athletic endeavor for those that aren't interested in traditional team sports, the waiting around for their turn to get in the game. This is something that will capture their attention and hold it. We have two kids Jiu-Jitsu classes a day. We have our evening class at 5:30PM and our morning class for the homeschoolers at 11:00 AM.
Life Kido - This custom class is specifically for children who are home schooled, and thus available for classes late morning. Because the class is designed for kids from 5-11, the curriculum is a blend of what we teach in both Power Ninjas (kinder and 1st) and Samurai (2nd-5th grade).
Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill - The Homeschool Martial Arts Day Class is for ages 6-12 on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00-11:45am. Like any homeschool lifestyle, it is important for your child to develop their social and physical skills too. We teach fundamental age appropriate martial arts and self defense classes for ages 6-12. This custom class is specifically geared for children who are homeschooled and thus available in the morning.
Music
Private Flute and Piano Lessons with Nicole - Private lessons last for only thirty to sixty minutes every week. In order to maximize the benefits of private lessons, the student will learn effective practice techniques so they can continue to progress even outside of the lesson time.
Rock Climbing
Austin Rock Gym - This class was developed specifically for children who are home schooled. It’s a great way to get some social interaction and physical education with like-minded students. Each day students will spend an hour learning a new skill (like lead climbing, rappelling, anchors, Tyrolean traverse, knots, technique and more) and an hour projecting, working out and climbing new routes. The class meets on a weekly basis (4 times per month) totaling 8 hours of instruction per month. Registration is required for this course. A minimum of 4 participants is needed to hold the class.
Theater
Mosaic Children's Theater - Mosaic Children’s Theatre welcomes every child to participate in this program regardless of previous experience or knowledge of theatre. Everyone who auditions receives a part.
Zach Theatre - These classes are not specifically for homeschoolers, however there are a few classes offered for the younger grades (k-3) on weekday mornings/early afternoon.
The Improved Shakespeare Company - In addition to acting in the piece, the Company of kids is responsible for running their own production.
Speech and Debate
Austin Rhetoric Club - ARC is first a Christian family club, parent sponsored and student run, second, a home school speech and debate club. We have found that many home school families are looking for learning experiences that their entire family can do together. This is our goal.
Sports
Christian Homeschool Athletic Association - We are a Christ centered physical education program utilizing city and county parks. Our program is designed to be a professional physical education program, just as a student would receive in a traditional school. From September through May, we teach every sport imaginable and then some.
